You mean Kiev right?
Welcome to the board.
If you hold a brit passport you will need the ICC cert gained by doing the RYA appropriate course..... I think its Day or Coastal Skipper. Look on line for the RYA site.

Welcome to the forum Parapac
Can You tell us if it is possible now to visit some Ukrainian ports?
Like Odesa, for example?

(To Weavis: Odessa is in Russian, Odesa is in Ukrainian)

I am aware of the differences.. however as a Brit.. like wot I is and wot he is..... we use the Russian word...

Like in brit land its Majorca when the local word is Mallorca........

so there.

I always think it so sad that the world keeps changing. I have map books from not so long ago and the whole names and borders and layout has changed........

However..... you on the other hand can call it what you want.

LOL, that doesn't make it right, nor does it give you a win.

I just had a quick Google search. The spelling Kyiv is common. For example it is currently used by Hilton Hotels, Lonely Planet etc.

By the way, welcome Parapac .

Kijów is the Polish name for the city, Pronounced almost like Kyiv.
We write Odessa here, but pronouncing it more like Odesa.
Polish and Ukrainian history is tied so closely...
