Hi from Dublin, Ireland

Hi, i am very interested in sailing, like everyone else... I am thinking about buying a sailing boat and venture the seas. I have some sailing experience, in Ireland and Brazil.
I am thinking about doing the yatchmaster certification, and go from there, get more experience as a crew before going solo...
I am looking forward to read lots of interesting stories.

From the Irish men here: Is it too cold to liveaboard around Dublin? I have a son that may want to do just that while going to medical school.

Re: Hi from Dublin, Ireland

Hi, it does not get very cold in Dublin and rarely snows. He would be ok with a portable heater. Would he be looking to have his boat in a marina? Marina fees are expensive in Dublin, and I don't think there are too many house boats on the canal, if any.
What University is he going to? I used to lecture medical students in UCD and Trinity.
