Hi from Australia

I’m pleased to introduce myself to you all. My name is Robin and together with my partner Kim we are the proud new owners of a Dufour 365. Our boat is moored at East Coast Marina in Brisbane where we intend to leave it for a few months (We live in Lorn NSW). We intend to sail it back to Newcastle in October.

We are not terribly experienced, but enthusiastic. I hope that we might contribute to this community in some meaningful way in the months to come but for the moment we are absorbing as much as we can from wherever we can get it!

Robin

Hi Robin and Kim,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on buying a Dufour.

Grab as much time out as you can on Morton Bay, as The Bay and its constant variable conditions will certainly help prepare you for the trip south.

If you need any local help or knowledge, just PM me, and I'll see if I, or my Dufour owning friends @ Manly Boat Club Marina can assist.

Re: Hi from Australia

Welcome to CruisersForum!

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
