Hi from Alaska
My husband and I recently purchased a 1997 Beneteau Oceanis 463. We are new sailors and are living aboard. We have LOTS of questions.  Our home is Ketchikan, Alaska. We're looking forward to exploring our island as well all of southeast Alaska.

When sailing Mexico 15 years ago. I met a man from Alaska. He described some very beautiful cruising grounds. If you are not looking for tropical weather. Then you are already in Paradise.....BEST WISHES

Welcome to Cruisers Forum.
A friend of mine was stationed at USCG Station Ketchikan many moons ago, and absolutely loved it up there. Keep us posted on your sailing adventures.

I just came across your post and I thought I'd drop you a line. There are three of us sailors wintering over in Craig, AK, which is about 60 air miles to the west of you. You haven't seen Alaska from a sailboat until you've sailed Prince William Sound. Check out Cordova....
