Hi folks

Just a brief introduction, I'm a newish member but have been reading as a guest for a while now.

I've owned a Hobie 18SX, which is what I learned to sail on as an adult and have the most sailing experience on, mostly around Buzzards Bay. After that bought and fixed up a Catalina 22, which was somewhat abandoned in a boat yard when the owned had moved, and had enjoyed that for a number of years sailing in Narragansett Bay,

We have recently purchased a '79 Pearson 323. With the larger size boat comes a lot of systems that are new to me so I'll probably be posting a lot of questions.

Re: Hi folks

Welcome aboard CF, Waltm.

I bet you'll enjoy the more comfy accommodations of your new boat. Have heaps of fun.

And, ask away. Some of the guys are very forthcoming.

Ann

Re: Hi folks

Welcome to the forum Walt.

Hope you'll get a heap of fun out the Pearson.

Also I do hope that you get plenty out of the forum, gain help and useful information as you want it. Obviously the more you post yourself, be it questions, ideas, advice, the more you gain from being a member.

Wishing you the best from Wellington, New Zealand.

Re: Hi folks

I have a 1976 Pearson 30. I have pretty much rebuilt or replaced everything. It is a great boat. It will be sitting on the hard when we go cruising for when we return, if we ever do return. We like it too much to sell it and have been out in all conditions in it. I tell people that the boat can take more than you can.

If you have questions let us know.

Have fun with your solid Pearson.
