Hi all...

Just introducing ourselves and saying hi.....

UK couple, Former Royal Marine, Ex RNLI Lifeboat Crew navigator and inshore ILB Senior Helmsman. We're interested in plans and experiences in the Caribbean.

We are moving to Antigua in Oct'14 (both completing the yachtmaster offshore Jan'15 to May '15) and would welcome any sea time in and the area.

We are early '40's, easy going, motivated and trustworthy.

Re: Hi all...

Welcome!

Saw your similar post to a crew wanted thread a few days ago...

You guys will do fine, and find something to fit in short order I'm sure!

Re: Hi all...

Thanks a lot.

One of the mods I think suggested a new thread. So here we are.

We don't have huge illusions of cocktails and Louis xiii cognac, we do have a realistic view of hard work, in a friendly environment earning a buck to see us through.

We will have ups and downs and as long as the ups are bigger than the downs then that's ok by us.

Thanks

A&E,

Again, from the expectations and description, you guys should have no problem finding a fit... Lots of places to advertise for crew looking... check the crew forum here... Do a search here for crew looking ... There's tons of info!

Nothing wrong with a snort of cognac either...

Re: Hi all...

Hi again,

Welcome to CF!

You may want to consider keeping the Louis XIII cognac covered up in bubble-wrap and located in the bilge - cool and away from sunlight! Joking aside, one of the many good things about this forum is that there are simply not many questions which haven't been answered in one way or another. Have fun searching around and reading. Like any gold mine there are nuggets strewn around everywhere as long as you can see passed the occasional lump of mud!
