Hi

Hello, I'm new to sailing and don't know a thing about it. I'm just starting my research and hopefully in the next few years my wife and I will be sailing somewhere.

I'm thinking about looking for a boat that needs crew and joining them to gain experience. I don't know what that would really entail. I've also seen some listings where a couple wants another couple or some other similar situation to share expenses and gain experience. Has anyone done either of these before?

Now to go read up on what the hell all these nautical terms mean exactly.

Re: Hi

Thanks! It'll be some years I am sure, but we'll get there. I've got lots of time to learn how to do it and plan and save.
