I'm Ape. Marine veteran and MC veteran. It's time to put my retirement/escape plan into play. I'm selling my classic Jeep and my Harley, and buying a sailboat, somewhere in the 27-34ft LOA range. The plan is to spend a few months in Corpus or Houston getting her ready, then maybe 6 months in the Gulf/Caribbean getting used to how she handles, then heading out to parts unknown.

Take some time to click on the various forums, and view some of the threads on more than just the first page of topics. You will find many hours of potential good reading.
