Kat and Dave here on SV Tenacity. We've been lurking here for a few years (or 10). We purchased our first
boat Oct 22 and left Wisconsin with it last August with the plans of sailing Lake Superior/etc for a few weeks..... We never went back and found ourselves on the
East coast. We are currently here in central
Florida headed towards the Keys and
Bahamas.
After that, our plan is to continue to
cruise the
Caribbean and then figure out a
route for
circumnavigation. Dora, the ship's chief mouser, joined us from the humane society in Charleston, SC in Feb.
Tenacity is a 1979 S2 11a. The majority of working systems except the
engine have been upgraded. Pretty much everything runs on
solar including all
cooking,
electronics, starlink and
water heater. We just wrapped up designing and building our
watermaker and we consider ourselves more or less self sufficient.
