Hey from Canada!

Hey guys!
New to this forum! Seems like an awesome place to gather knowledge!
My wife and I just acquired a brand new Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 catamaran. Our first boat.... Call me crazy all you want!
This will be such a great experience! If not... there's always RVing...

We have very little experience. We got our ASA 101,103, 104, 114 this past July on a charter week in the Abacos on a beautiful Saona 47 (destroyed a month later due to Dorian).

We will take delivery in November 2020 but the boat should be ready to sail in Feb 2021. The plan is to sail it to the Med for it's first summer and then sail it across to the Bahamas in November 2021 where it's going to be part of a charter fleet for the first 3-4 years.
By then I should be fully experienced to sail around the world 6-8 months of the year..!
Until then, I am going to soak up your experiences and advices and hopefully sail as a crew for for a few weeks until then!
Any advices, send over my way!

See you on the oceans of the world!

Re: Hey from Canada!

Sounds like a plan MartyB. I worked with some French Canadians back in Kingston and they were crazy as well!
Cheers

Welcome aboard. That's what I call jumping in at the deep end !! We're coastal cruisers on the west coast.
