Hi,
I'm looking to buy a Catalina 22 and need some advice.
Is there anyone who can help me?

I'd respectfully that suggest stating the sort of help you're looking for would assist with replies. Boat care, sailing, mooring, engine maintenance, painting, transporting, racing, electrics, toilet issues, mast/rigging/boom hassles.

Re: Help with boat buying

Thank you. So you don't think the added sprayfoam should be a concern?
Is this something that was 'a thing' on these in the 80's?
The boat came from Colorado, still has Colorado plates on the trailer, if that tells you anything.I

Re: Help with boat buying

Looks like 15,000 Catalina 22's have been built so far.

They must be doing something right.

If you are having second thoughts on one Catalina 22 go and check out a few others.

https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/catalina-22/

The sailing club / school here uses Catalina Capri 22's and they really look nice on the water.

Most are powered with a 6 HP Tohatsu or Mercury 4 stroke which makes it nice.

I was making a joke.

I think you posted your other thread that has details about the boat/your questions at about the same time I was replying to this one. People reading this one won’t necessarily know you have another going with much more info, so you will probably get mostly responses along the lines of “um, what?”, because there is no info here to work with.

I would recommend directing people to your other thread. I posted a serious reply there.

Re: Help with boat buying

Welcome to CruisersForum!

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
