Hello from Washington DC

Well, almost ... Manassas, VA. New to sailing. Fell in love with sailing a Lagoon 380 last year and am desperately trying to get training and cert. to bareboat charter a 440/Orana/etc asap.

I spend way to much time drooling over boats on Yacthworld.

Welcome aboard! I lived 40 yrs in the DC area, 16 of which in Independent Hill, halfway between Manassas and Dumfries (we called it "Dumassas"). Good luck with the plan.

I call it (fondly) Man-asses.

It helps me remember how to spell it and is somehow oddly apt.

Re: Hello from Washington DC

Welcome to the Forum.

I'll be going through your area soon to visit a friend in Chantilly. I've done plenty of drooling over what's on Yacht world before. Good luck with your training. Have Fun!

Welcome aboard! I am sitting at work here in Dumfries and have been addicted to YW for many years! I call it boat porn

We sail out of the Lower Potomac, Kinsale/Callao area

P.S. You can sign up for some sailing courses through the Annapolis School of Seamanship or another similar program
