Hello from the Southwest, US

Hello, everyone!

I just joined this site today, admittedly because there were some individual groups on this site that I am hoping to join. I am a woman currently living in Albuquerque, NM, but was previously living in the Olympia & Seattle areas where I started learning to sail. I am still very much in the novice category. I came back to NM to sell off all my belongings build up some residual income. Once I sell everything off I want to buy a boat and liveaboard in one area while I get more sailing experience, then circumnavigate. I have two cats currently, who I plan to bring aboard. Eventually, I would like to have a liveaboard family... I love reading the blogs of the families who are doing that! I currently have a few friends who sail but do not really know any other women. I am looking to make new friends and learn from others on here who can offer good advice.

I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi Sweet welcome to CF! There's quite a few of us people of the female persuasion here, both single handers and family types, so hopefully you'll find something to interest you -

Re: Hello from the Southwest, US

If you're looking for a starter boat to get some experience on, I have a pocket cruiser in san carlos (south of tucson in sea of cortez) that I plan on putting on the market in the next couple of weeks. Price will be around $5000.
