Hello from the San Francisco Bay!

Hey everyone -

I'm a proud first time owner of TWO (!) sailboats (long-ish story):

Key Lime Tri -- 28' Tradewinds Trimaran
&
Hallelujah -- 30' Coronado

I'm pretty excited to get active in these forums. Both boats need a lot of love (in very different ways).

Cheers all around,
Bill

Re: Hello from the San Francisco Bay!

@boatman61 - Exactly

@all - Where in these forums would be a good place to find others in the Bay Area who might want to help me learn how to sail?

Thanks so much!

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here.
For finding folks in the bay area I'd try the destinations forum here in the CF forum.
kind regards,

Re: Hello from the San Francisco Bay!

I hate the fact that this is my opening post on CF, have been reading for a couple weeks and been meaning to join but I had to comment on this thread.

Key Lime Tri, a 28' Tradewinds Trimaran, is anchored in Richardson's bay a few hundred yards from my boat. I have actually sailed it before. I drove the owner to McAvoys marina to purchase it. The owner disappeared a few months ago and showed back up a few days after you posted this. A few things to know about him.
1) He is named Bob (but everybody calls him crazy bob, because he is crazy and not in a good way)
2) He knows how to sail (they sold me my first boat and taught me how to sail it)
3) He is a confirmed thief of both boats and boat accessories

Basically what I am saying is that you are clearly not Bob because you asked for help learning how to sail, which is confusing because you say you own it and I saw him on it yesterday. That combined with his record of stealing boats... Basically my point is that if your boat mysteriously went missing around the time you posted this, then know that your vessel is safely anchored in Richardson's bay. Or maybe you are crazy bob and you're just crazy enough to ask people for help learning how to sail when you know how.
--------

I sincerely hope every other post I ever make on this forum is in a positive manner. It sounds like a really cool place I hope I'm not stirring up any trouble, this was just a VERY weird post to read, and if the boat was stolen then I hope I can help out by telling you where it is.

Happy Sailing!

P.S. anybody in the SF Bay looking for crew?
