Hello from the Philippines

Hello to all - I'm currently living in the philippines; but will soon return to the Seattle,Vancouver area.
I've never sailed before but am going to buy a Sailboat and will sail to Anchorage,Alaska where I plan on living - hoping to hear from all you experience sailors out there, and it's nice to have a forum like this to ask questions and read others experiences.

You'll love sailing up the coast of Canada and Alaska. Beautiful trip.

Very different from the Philippines. Just as beautiful, but in a very different and colder way.

Fair winds!

Re: Hello from the Philippines

Welcome aboard. I returned from the Philippines to Canada a little early. Adjusting to the cold again was hard. You will enjoy the inside passage to Alaska. Good luck.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
PNW is a great place to learn to sail. I recommend at least a basic sailing class to get you started in the right direction before you start looking for boats.
kind regards,
