Hello from the Netherlands
Hi all,
Joined the forum today after reading tons of information already in the past year.
The wife and I bought a beautiful, well maintained Contest 34, "Martje", last year. "Martje" turned 40y/o this month, and she's currently in winterstorage in Germany.
In the summer we will take her 'home' to Andijk, where she will actually be very close to Medemblik where she was built.

Re: Hello from the Netherlands
Welcome, Andreas...
You have acquired a very nice boat. The next step is to sail her to some place where there is no need for winter storage!!
Glad you are enjoying CF and ask away when you have questions.
Jim

Here's another Dutchie, born and raised in Rotterdam but escaped (emigrated) to live aboard our sailboat wherever we go in 2003

Funny, the first 7 replies from all over the world, the last 3 from your (once) compatriots.
'Andreas, welkom tot dit forum'
As Jim said, just ask, as (he eluded) there is a lot of knowledge here.
Have you checked this?
Contest Fleet
It shows that that there is no Contest yacht in Australia. Although I know of one 41 ft Black Pearl (also a Dick Zaal design) that is in Queensland.
Happy sailing!
Edit: cannot make it a hattrick ( x3 Rotterdam), close but not quite (Giessenburg)
