Cool Hello from the Chesapeake

Hi everyone.

I hope you don't mind a power boater stopping by. I cruise the mid to northern Chesapeake Bay. I have a few more years before I retire and buy a sailboat to cruise the East Coast, Bahamas and the Gulf. I have a few friends that sail and I hope to get aboard one soon to get a refresher course on sailing. But right now it's a power boat for me.

Just as long as you're one of the 'good guys' that bring it down a notch when you're passing by.

I always try to cruise by behind the sailboats and give them a little push with my wake.

Right now my 26 footer hardly throws up a wake while cruising. But, I take delivery of a 32' Carver within a few weeks and I'm sure that will throw up a larger wake. But I'll pass behind and give the sailboats a bigger push.
