Hello from Sydney, Australia

Hi all,

I'm somewhat new to sailing (as an adult anyhow). I sailed with dad in my early teens and since moving to Sydney a few years ago picked up sailing on lasers and now on a J24 as part of a small team.

Yet to begin racing though.

My real interests are in cruising and off-shore sailing as I'd like to one day circumnavigate Australia.

Love to hear from anyone who may have completed such a voyage.

there is nothing like heading down to you local yacht club and see if you can get on as crew on the Wednesday, Friday or Saturday races. Its a great way to meet like minded people who I have no doubt will be able to asssit you and at the same time gain valuable sailing experience.
