Hello from Soon-to-be Boat Owner (Hopefully)!!

I joined and jumped right in asking for help with finding a surveyor, and thought I had better introduce myself now! Got lots of great advice. Thanks for having me!

About me: I've lived near the ocean most of my life so have been around all kinds of boats, from my dad's 52' ketch to fishing boats and kayaks etc. I've spent more time sailing in the last 10 years though, chartering boats and sailing with friends. I've been addicted to Yachtworld searching for "the one" for the last 5 years.

My husband and I crewed for a friend from Victoria, BC to Mazatlan last fall, and I also completed my sailing courses then (to Yachtmaster Offshore). We've been looking for the perfect boat for us that will be a good starter boat and coastal and bluewater cruiser. Finally smartened up and realized we needed to start with a simple coastal boat. So, that's where we are now!

Thanks! We've found a boat - now it's just waiting to see how the sea trial and survey go.

Good luck with the survey and sea-trial Anne. I hope you'll soon be at the helm of your new coastal cruiser!

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Went from San Diego to La Paz last fall. Great trip but too much motoring.
