Hello from Seoul, South Korea
Hello,
My name is Katelynn and I am currently living in Seoul, South Korea with my husband Justin and miniature-chihauhau Bailey. We have been dreaming about getting into sailing since before we got married and thought this would be a good time to start training, so hopefully when we get to our next assignment we can look into getting a boat. I am hoping that all of you can help guide us on this adventure!
Thanks,
Katelynn

Greetings and welcome aboard Katelynn, Justin, & Bailey.
This will be a good time to start training, so that you can realize your dream about getting into sailing.

Aloah Katelynn,
I haven't been to Seoul since the 70s while on a Navy ship but I remember it as a great place to do some shopping for souvenirs for family.
Welcome aboard the forum and I wish you luck on your sail training.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Hi Katelynn,
I don't think there is much sailing in Seoul, or at least I couldn't see many boats while there but I was amazed at how nice the south of the peninsula is for sailing great steady breezes lots of harbours etc. Though I have been told they are not so yacht friendly there is a nice marina in Busan that is worth checking out and hopefully getting the local scoop. Then let me know as I would like to do a stop over there some day.
Cheers
Mark

I just saw your July 09 post.
We have joined this forum and are in Korea as well.
We have a Yamaha 26 at Tando boat harbor about 20 miles south east of Seoul.

Tando Boat Harbor is great.
I really like your floating dingy dock, wish we had one here in Key West.
