Hello from seniorsailor a new member

Hi everyone unfortunitly i am saying hello from the cold Canadian shores of Lake Ontario. The weather is a wonderful -12C and the boat is a chunk of frozen fiberglass. I am at least starting to put my list together for my spring jobs, this at least keeps me sane.
I hope to talk to some of you soon

Yes, welcome seniorsailor. When you get that boat in the water come spring you should point the bow north and visit us up here on Lake Superior. Best cruising ground in the world ... aside from the freezing cold temperatures.

Speaking of cold, you guys are warm weather wusses. It's -27C right now up here, and that's without the windchill. Add windchill and you get something like -34C. A couple of days ago we hit -37C, -48C with windchill.

... I wish I was down south .

Now c`mon ya!

We are in the sun spot here, but we do miss the ice and snow. Winter is great, summer is great. Make the lists ;-) while enjoying the ice.

I found gluhwein to immensely help get thru the cold season. Try it, you will love it!

Cheers,

Re: Hello from seniorsailor a new member

I do have to admit I do have it better than you guys out there near the Arctic Circle, but the Caribbean is a no brainer who wouldn't want to be there, but having been brainwashed at a early age, work good play bad, it kind of stuck but all is not lost retirement is just a year or so away.
