Hello from Sardinia

After some years of inactivity I'm back here again.

I'm cruising with my family in the MED, mainly Sardinia and Balearic Islands, but also Sicily and Greek. Our boat is a Bav 38 equipped for longterm cruising. We leave her over winter in Alghero/Sardinia, our "home harbour" which we love a lot.

Yes, we also live on the hard, and we are located in Munich, Germany.

If anybody needs actual infos about these waters, mainly Sardinia, we always like to help with our advice.

Next thing: as we are cruising with our 12 years old son, we are always interested to meet other cruising familys.

Happy new year and BR Cornelius

Welcome back..
I too am very fond of Alghero.. a lovely town and nice friendly people.. used to love walking the walls at sunset then slowly making my way back down to the harbour through the old town streets.
Have a grand summer.

Thank you Ken, but I am considering to go west, maybe to the Canary Islands, or go back to Greece. For the next season we will stay probably in Alghero, it's so convenient for us and very cheap to fly in with Ryanair from Munich/Memmingen.

Re: Hello from Sardinia

We are considering a two week bare boat charter in Sardinia and Corsica in June. We are concerned about the high price of berths $140+(if they are available) and limited safe anchorages. At present we are looking at the NE of Sardinia and the SW of Corsica. Any info on these topics greatly appreciated.

Re: Hello from Sardinia

There're many safe anchorages along the north east coast of Sardinia and south eastern Corsica. Nothing to worry about, we only once paid for a mooring in Bonifacio, maybe only 60 euros or so in September, and it was well worth it, otherwise we anchored in safe coves 100%.
