Hello from San Francisco Bay Area

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I grew up in Southern California where I learned to sail and had a Catalina 27 for a number of years. Life got busy and I sailed infrequently on other people's boat in the years since. Now, 20+ years later, I'm living in the San Francisco Bay area (Marin county) and recently bought a 1989 Catalina 34. I'm enjoying my time back on the water, sailing around the bay.

I look forward to meeting and interacting with the community.

Thanks,
Dago

Welcome to the neighborhood, Dago! I have been so missing our Bay sailing. Are you still getting out?

Dago, welcome.

I'm the secretary of the C34 International Association. You're welcome to join us over on our C34 website, too. I do a bunch of different boating forums every day.

https://c34.org/bbs/index.php/board,11.0.html

The info on the C34 website will help you avoid reinventing the wheel.

I lived in SF from 78 to 16, sailed all over, bought our C34 in 1998.

Fair winds,

Stu

Welcome to the Bay Area. If you're looking for a hull cleaner, here is a Facebook group where hundreds of them are looking for you:

Re: Hello from San Francisco Bay Area

Thanks Gamayun. No, I haven't been out since the shelter-in-place order in mid March, but I think I may sneak out soon.

Thanks Stu. I have come across the c34 site and found it very useful. I haven't joined yet, but will.
