Smile Hello from San Diego!

My hubby and I have a 32' Luhrs Sportfisher. We bought it last year.... loved the boat, didn't use it too much because of his knee pain. Then he had a knee replacement six weeks ago. He's doing well!! We are retired so when we heard that his brother was going to cruise with his 45' trawler from Marina Del Rey down to Zihuatenejo this year, we decided it would be fun to "tag along" with our "little" guy! We are going to go as far as Puerto Vallarta where we spend every winter in our motorhome. It will be fun to have a boat there to "play" with this winter!

We plan to leave Nov 5 from San Diego and will probably take 2-3 weeks to get to Cabo, stopping and anchoring here and there along with way. This will be our first "long-range" cruise, by the way.

Hubby is busy getting all the electronics in order, spare remote windlass, new dinghy with Weaver hitch. He's been telling me all the things he's doing or going to have someone do for him since he's still recuperating. My job is to outfit the cabin. I'm throwing out our newly-reupholstered heavy convertible sleeper and buying a futon, found someone to modify my bedspread for our v-berth, getting new carpet and drapes (the boat is 15 years old), and packing it up with food and clothes for the trip!

Any suggestions you can make would be greatly appreciated. My hubby and I were full-time boaters for six years, but that's been about 25 years ago. (I can barely remember that long!) lol

I look forward to being a part of this group and look forward to hearing from you!

Hugs from Smiley
