Just a quick
introduction. I am 57 and since 7 years I live in
Portugal. I am retired, but I still
work on my small olive farm that includes also a vineyard. I haven't sailed since almost 30 years, because my wife already got seasick by watching a
boat. I am
single again and plan to start sailing again in a couple of years.
My mother tongue is West Flemish, a regional dialect of the Dutch language group, spoken by around one million people in the west of Belgium. Of course I speak Dutch too, and French, the language spoken in the south of Belgium. I also speak some German, Portuguese and Spanish, but not fluent. During my student years I learnt other languages, but I forgot almost everything about these (Latin, Greek, Sanskrit, Russian, Hindi, Swahili and bahasa Indonesia)
