Hello from Poland
Hi,
we are a married couple. We live in Poland. We have been sailing at the Baltic Sea for the last 10 seasons. We do not plan to cruise around the world but we always read about distant places with pleasure. We own a 26 years old French yacht (type Trismus 37) and we spend 2-3 months sailing on her every year.
Best wishes to all of you
Agnieszka and Wlodek

Hello and welcome to CF Agnieszka and Wlodek.
I'd really like to see your boat if you can post any pictures.
Where in Poland do you hail from?
John in Seattle

Re: Hello from Poland
Hi John,
We live in Bieszczady Mountains, south-eastern Poland but we keep our boat in Gdansk, by the Baltic Sea. You are welcome to visit our sail photoblog Bank Zdj A. i W. Biliskich - zdjcia z Polski, Bank Fotografii, fotografia przyrodnicza, photos of Poland, fototapety
The blog is written in Polish but using goole automatic translator you would understand much and there are many pictures of the most beautiful places on Baltic. In the begening of the blog we introduced our yacht Trismus 37 (the red one named Safran). Unfortunately these posts are in the far end of the blog today. So be patient and scroll :-)

Re: Hello from Poland
Well done blog guys.
You're photos are beautiful and now because of the scenes you captured of your sailing grounds, I have no choice but to sail the Baltic someday.
Nice scenes, beautiful pat of the world.
Welcome and thank you,
John

Re: Hello from Poland
Dzien dobry, Good morning :-)
It depends. For Americans it is not so far From Zakopane, but for Europeans quite far: Bieszczady are about 300 km to the east from Zakopane

At least you could figure out what I was "trying" to say..so you are closer to the eastern border..I rode the train from Warsaw to Zakopane a few times and then started going from the CZ town of Rosnov thru the mtns. to Zak. I remember a small boat yard that fabricated small wooden sailboats and rowboats that was located in an old gov.complex on the outskrits of Cracow called Raven, one could buy a hand made 9ft wooden dingy for very few zalota($200.00)guess those days are over now.Do you know the company Raven?..thanks DVC

Welcome
I'm headed to Europe late December and won't get a chance to get to Poland, unfortunately, but the Baltic is a must do! I'll be in Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris. So close, but not close enough, I'm afraid. Next trip I will frame it around that region. Maybe this summer when you're sailing. Keep in touch.

Re: Hello from Poland
When you live in Florida the distance from
One county in Europe to another is minor. Like visiting different states in the US. Plus, you have Ryan Air. :-) Getting to Europe is the chore. Once you're there, travel is easy and often cheap.
