Hello from PA...

Hi all,

great place here lots of information.

Why I am here ? I don't really know..yet...maybe I got here by mistake... at some point while surfing the internet I took the wrong direction and finally ended up here I guess.
At least I have a small open sailboat a Caledonia Yawl for short trips with the family on lakes in PA and the Chesapeake bay.
My sailing career started at the age of 14 and has been a pretty patchy endeavor with way more holes than substance. When I was young I had the chance to sail a lot of boats from simple sailing dinghies to more complex boats like a Star boat or Dragon. Somewhere in the middle or my sailing career I made some trips with friends in the Mediterranean see, the longest was three weeks on a Nautor Swan 45, so I had a chance to peek a tiny little bit in the world of cruising. Thereafter Instead of really getting more into sailing my sailing career went the opposite direction and I had a long lean period which was only interrupted by some actually very unsuccessful attempts to get back on the water.
Now I am here and I am not so sure why but I am about to find out.
