Hello....from Oriental NC!!

Hi all, Well we finally did it.....we bought a sailboat. It is a Gulf Coast 30ft (I think) Hubby drives a truck for a living and we are out on the road most of the time. we sold our house and bought the sailboat. She is in Oriental NC which will be our now home as well. we will be spending the summer leaning how to sail and then HOPEFULLY in mid dec be ready to sail her to the Bahamas for a few weeks of R&R. We usually park the truck in mid Dec and come back out on the road about the first of Feb.

I look forward to "meeting" new friends here and learning ALOT!!

Wow - She is very pretty! She looks like she could be pretty roomy inside as well. I love the color!

Yes, she is very roomy inside for her size. That was one of the reasons we bought her. she has been well taken care of and I think we are the 4th owners. We are the only owners NOT named Earl....all the other owners names were Earl. She came completley equipped with just about everything we need. We are going to have a Dodger made for her and are looking into GPS system and A/C and some other things as we go along. we figure she is a good size to learn on and then maybe move up to a bigger boat.

I think we have similar plans. My partner and I were looking for 30+ feet but couldn't find a boat we liked. We ended up with 26ft and are very happy.

It seems a common theme to desire a/c and refrigeration. Oh, well. I have a handheld GPS but we would like something installed in the panel. So little money, so much to buy - LOL.

Have fun with it!
