Hello from Oregon!

Hello everyone! My friends and I are pursuing sailing as an alternative method of travel to flying. Flying sucks!

Our near-future plans are to learn how to sail and board a cruiser to Europe from the East coast, hopefully in May or June.

If you know of anyone that could teach us how to sail or would perhaps like to take on three males in their mid 20's that are organized, intelligent, driven, great cooks and generally fun people to be around, please contact us!

In unrelated topics, we just finished building an earthship in Oregon (google it if you don't know what this is!) and are starting a business soon with our friends in Estonia.

I look forward to getting to know you all!
-Michael Beck.

Re: Hello from Oregon!

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here.
Get down to the docks and find someone who needs crew or find a sailing school. One of the first things you'll need to do is find out if you truly like sailing.
Good luck.
kind regards,

Re: Hello from Oregon!

I saw in another of your posts that you are in Silverton, OR. My older brother used to teach there back in the 60s and 70s.
My other brother and I took a bike ride from Salem out to Silverton last October while I was there for a visit. Nice town.
Hope you can hook up with some sailors in that area.
kind regards,
