Hello from Northern California

Hello all! My husband and I live in Northern California and belong to the Solano Yacht Club in Suisun City-the smallest, yet, most incredible yacht club in Northern California. We are blessed to have a home with a 50' dock in Suisun City, the waterway that opens up to international waters via the Sacramento Delta (San Pablo Bay), as well as a home in South Lake Tahoe. Needless to say, we are water people. We have two boats and work every hour during each work week to get to get to them.

I joined this group to get in touch with people who share the same interests that we do. We love to be on the water. We love to be with our friends and we are always searching for our next boat (isn't everyone?).

I look forward to hearing what people have to share and hope that I, along with my husband, John, can be a part of it.

Cheers,

Lisa (Mitchell) Rodrigues

Welcome abard, Lisa and John... Have great memories of sailing around Potato Slough and the Suisun Bay area years ago... beautiful weather, fun people. You will find this Forum entertaining, educational and friendly.
The advice you find here is worth axactly what you pay for it but it is well intentioned and great place to watch debates about just about anything marine... Capt Phil

Aloha and welcome aboard!
I think I found your marina once while I was cruising around in a rental car while waiting for a flight out Travis AFB.
Good to have you here.
kind regards,

I'm thinking about sailing into the delta from Sausalito this weekend. Any tips/tricks? I read about potato slough and am thinking about anchoring for a couple nights there.
