hello from Mobile bay in alabama

new to group and look forward to sharing and gaining knowledge.
am curruntly trying to get a hunter 30 ready for some coastal cruising around the gulf coast/ nw florida panhandle.

never been a live aboard or cruiser except in my occupation " pushing barges along the icw / coast" but aproaching retirement and dreaming..; of beautifull sunsets and sunrises from the cockpit.

Happy sailing and fair wineds to all.

Hi, I live not too far from you over on Perdido Bay on the Florida side.

Good luck on your refit and hope to see you out there once I finally get a boat of my own.

You'll find plenty of knowledge here, not all of it agreeing with each other all the time though. But overall, a nice group of people who are in general very knowledgeable. And anyway, I think I've heard somewhere, "The only wrong way to do something is to not enjoy it."

Welcome nieghbor

I also live in Mobile. I have been on this site for over 2 years. I had a Pearson 26 and sold it to get a center console fishing boat. After the 'ol divorce I sold that one too. I now fish from a kayak. You have probably seen me on Dog River or down on Dauphin Island. I am currently looking for an sailboat and will go with a catalina 27 or another Pearson 26. I am mainly looking at price right now in the 26-30 range. Hope to see you around.
