Hello from Maine!

My wife and I are "working" cruisers, enjoying the Maine coast while we acquire skills and a more appropriate boat for our long-term cruising plans.
We'd originally planned to restore our Alberg 35 sloop, but have now recognized we've waited too long, and don't have enough years in us to BOT restore a classic yacht AND go cruising - so the Alberg is for sale, and we're in the market for a boat appropriate for the ICW and Bahamas.
Very much appreciating the information you all share, looking forward mto being out there more ourselves!

Howdy and Welcome Aboard, Keith & Nicki!

While I am not in the market for one, I do like the looks of the classic Alberg 35.

Best wishes for you to find the boat of your dreams and to your further cruising.

Re: Hello from Maine!

Welcome, Keith and Nicki! I grew up in Maine, but it was inland, and I spent embarrassingly little time at the coast. I have been to Rockland a few times, though.

Re: Hello from Maine!

Hi Keith and Nikki,

We sail out of Rockland and have been cruising for many years. Our boat Pacem, a Camper Nicholson 39 center cockpit ketch, has been our summer home for over fifteen years. We had a Downeaster 38 ketch before her.

We are always looking to get together with other sailors so we would be happy to meet and share information and libations.

Our mooring is straight out from the town landing.

Cheers

Ansley and Janet Sawyer
