I was trying to identify where you are in this photo. ....Julinton Creek? Green Cove? Ortega River? .... I can't really tell! I'm at Fleming Island Marina just outside Doctor's Lake and we'll be here until the new year when we'll be southbound. Keep us posted of your adventures!

Re: Hello From Jacksonville Florida

I guess you're in a well protected place behind Exchange Island. I'm open to much fetch to the NE and SE. I need to hide away in a tropical storm, but I'll be off cruising again after Christmas.

Is that only a dive platform at your stern that is split by your rudder or some fancy dinghy lift apparatus? The dark vertical lines make it appear to be a track of some sort.

Re: Hello From Jacksonville Florida

Lol those are custom made dive platforms to fit the reverse transom nothing special there just some old steel bedframe angle iron....scraps....and pressure treated 2 x 12 s heavily varnished .the rudder is in between them and they are individual nothing fancy no dingy lift aparatus....but if i remove one plank i Mount a 15 hp short shaft johnson as my back up motor it works enough to not stress my diesel main....due to age and exspense i try to run most my ours on the expendable 15 hp the thrust bearing on the diesel was seiezed when i got her was able to inseize it and grease it but only like to use it when nesscary so the plat form works great for the lil motor wich is also great that the lil motor can be used like a thruster motor to 360 the 42 ft boat easier...i dont mind draggen a high bowed 12 ft jon boat instead of a saggy inflatable.....
