What I remember (1978-79) was a friend taking me out some jungle track to a big kegger party....seemed like it was some distance to the North and maybe East of the airport.
The place was really jumping....loads of people, abundant sex, drugs, and rock and roll.
He told me it was Rodney's birthday party....I told him I'd like to meet Rodney and thank him for the great party.
He said Rodney had left the island some 20 years prior, but he was so well liked, and had such great birthday parties that they continued to celebrate it every year.
Several years later, when the new roads went in, they named that track "Rodney's Birthday Party Road"
