New to sailing but not to the sea. Grew up in Florida
around motorboats, then 20 years in the Navy
, with 11 on submarines and the other 9 on tiny patrol boats and "brown water" ops on the beach. Living in Edgewater now, I've owned a motorboat for the last few years and I'm at least semi-conversant with the local rivers. I've been from the Carribean
, to Europe
, and I've stood on the North Pole.
I am reading all the books
I can lay my hands on and I'm lining up a sailing course for the Spring.
is an un-named '69 Coronado 25 sailboat, #1137. Only 2 owners, and the last owner only had her for 3 years. I have a private slip, easy walking distance from the house so I can keep up on maintenance
I'm VERY interested in meeting experienced, local sailors willing to share their knowledge of general sailing, the local waters, local history
, so feel free to PM me.
