Hello from Denver

Not new to getting underway, retired submariner - but hopefully new to the cruising world soon. Been landlocked for the last 10 years, waiting for the best time to jump into the sailing life - I’m a slow learner , there’s never a good time. Anyone have thoughts or experience with the island packet sp cruiser? My wife and I are going to look at a couple used ones in Maryland next week.

Re: Hello from Denver

There's an active sailing club at Cherry Creek Reservoir. Also up at Lake Dillon. I, personally, learned to sail while I was living in Nebraska.

Just saying that you do not have to wait until you have a boat and are no longer "land locked" to become highly skilled in sail handling, reading the wind, tacking, jibing, and most of the other aspects of sailing a boat.

Good luck, from a former Denverite.
