Hello from Charlotte NC!

Greetings CruisersForum!

First off, thank you all for sharing your experience and passion for sailing. It's been a ton of fun and educational to read about others' journeys.

A little bit about myself. I spent some time in the early 2000's learning to sail on a buddy's Tartan 27 (or 28? it's been a while) in NJ around the Sandy Hook & Raritan Bays. It was an older boat (even for that time) but absolutely gorgeous, fast, and a ton of fun to sail!

Life/adulthood happened, and we had to give up sailing. The passion to sail never left, but due to moving around and not living near the ocean haven't spent any time sailing since. Now that we live close to a lake, the wife and I decided to take an ASA 101 course and spend as much time as we can building up our skills.

Our goal, like many many many others here is to build up our sailing, maintenance, and repair skills, and settle somewhere in bluer waters.

Now that I've dropped by and said hello, back to researching marine surveyors . .

Re: Hello from Charlotte NC!

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

If you need further help let me know, I would be happy to.
