I just wanted to say hello from the prairies of Canada..... yes you guessed right, I'm a land luber for the time being anyway.
I have always had a facination with sailing and sailboats and am looking into getting my first something around the 25 foot range to begin with.
I am looking forward to learning as much as I can here on your forums.

wellcome Ross, a sailing friend of mine lived in Saskatoon and saild a Lancer 30 on Deifenbacker Lake.There is a sailing club you might want to check out.The sailingseason there is short,but I am sure you can learn the rops there and than will get you hocked on sailing for ever.Sailing the oceans is the ultamit,but one step at the time.Whish you all the best.
