Hello from Boston

Hello all,

I don't own a boat but am planning to in the few years. I've been a member of a sailing club for the last two years, trying to gain experience in as many kinds of boats as possible. Currently I'm frostbiting on the weekends in Boston Harbor

It's good to be in these forums.

Thanks,
EY

Welcome eyardimc,
Glad to have you here and would love to hear about some of your cold Boston sailing.

Yeah, I would too. I'm in Boston as well, which group are you with, Courageous or BSC, or another?

Hey there I used to live in Boston and sailed a bunch but mostly sat on my CPU on Cruisers forum and dreamed. Now I am on a boat in Baja Mexico Yay! Good luck in your travails and don't stop dreaming. Also don't fall in. I never did Frostbite the dry suit makes it cost prohibitive.

I'm in Courageous.. I'm a member of BHSC and had planned to frostbite there on their Solings but they couldn't set up a winter season this year. I really like the folks at Courageous though; nice mix of competition and friendliness.

So far though the weather hasn't been too bad, and last weekend was almost spring-like. This coming Saturday should be a bit different

unbusted67: I have had the "experience" of falling in an half-frozen lake while rowing once, and certainly would not want to repeat it again!
