Mike
Keep us posted on the class. Be very interested as to how much you actually learn in a class like that. How much hands on do you get?

Aloha Mike and Welcome aboard!
Oh, to be 59 again!
Did you say whether you're going to become a sailor or powerboat skipper?
Best thing to do is take some basic courses to get you started and I see that you've signed up for a good one. Coast Guard Aux. has a pretty good sail course but you'll have to supplement it with a basic on the water course from US Sailing or ASA to get you sailing right.
Good luck in your pursuit.
Regards,

Welcome to our world, 49 & 57, just bought our 42 Vagabond in Maryland and about to head south about mid Oct, found a Captain that has bunches of experience and is willing to take on some old folk with instant gradification dreams. All is possible just use common sense. Have a great time and happy sailing.
