Hello from Ajax, Ontario (Near Toronto)

Hello Everyone!

Just offering on my first sailboat and getting ready to book a survey. Very excited!

Looking forward to connecting with everybody.

Due to lockdown and the inability to go on the water - I'm looking for a recommendation for a shipping company to get it from Ottawa to Durham region! If you know someone that would be great!

Cheers everybody.

Re: Hello from Ajax, Ontario (Near Toronto)

Congratulations.

If it were me, I would leave the boat in Ottawa til the Rideau Canal opens to recreational boats, then just motor her down the canal to Lake Ontario, have the mast stepped in Kingston, and sail her home.

It would be cheaper, and lots of fun.

Re: Hello from Ajax, Ontario (Near Toronto)

Welcome to the forum. Summer of 2019, we bought our boat in whitby, nice and close to ajax.
Sorry, I dont know any companies to help with moving the boat, but talk with Glenn at whitby marine supplies. He has great contacts, and was extremely helpful with getting our boat ready to head south.
The marina there is a great place as well
