Hello from Abaco!

Hi, all. Just wanted to introduce myself -- I'm Amanda (aka AbacoSun). Hubby and I divide our time between Los Angeles and Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas. I've been writing a blog about Abaco, Bahamas for three years, so if I can ever answer any questions about conditions post-Dorian, feel free to ask!

Hubby and I are contemplating becoming full time liveaboards. Boating's not new to us, but living aboard will be. Will definitely be looking for some advice as time goes on.

Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. Living aboard is a lot like living. Some things change to fit boat stowage, but one generally manages to accommodate top food preferences. We carried more clothing, wore it longer, and did laundry less often. Others insist on having their own washing machines. Having to do laundry ashore is one way, in the South Pacific, to meet local women who are also washing their clothing or bedding in the same stream.
