Hello Fellow Sailors!

I'm new here and looking forward to gleaning all of the sailing knowledge from this salty crew! We're three weeks in on a 1986 Hunter 23 and already loving the adventure and thrill of sailing & learning on the fly. We spent our first night at anchor last weekend and are hooked.

I look forward to chatting with everyone and asking ALL the newbie questions!

Re: Hello Fellow Sailors!

Sailing can be truly addictive. I took one trip on a sailboat to the Bahamas and it ruined changed my life. Within six months I had dropped out, went sailing and didn't come back to the US but once in two years.

Hello Fellow Sailors!

Welcome Sascha to sailing, cruising, fixing and adventuring. Wonderful to have firsts. Here’s hoping your first night at anchor will be one of many first adventures.

From a recent post on the new joke thread:
it’s fine to become enthusiastic about sailing...just don’t go overboard.
