Hi All,
2 years ago we packed up our house (in Ballarat, Australia) and rented it out to go cruising "until the money runs out". Our boat 'Skylark2' is a cold molded 34' sloop designed by Joe Adams and based at Geelong. So far we have cruised Tasmania including the wild and beautiful west coast, then up the east coast of the Australian mainland to Brisbane. Currently in Noumea, New Caledonia waiting on gearboxrepairs before heading to Vanuatu.
Hi Kokanee,
The cost will be bad enough. The big issue for us is that this is the 4th time the gearbox has failed. Desperate to find a cause so we can trust it in future. I am about to start a thread in the mechanical section to see if anyone has had similar issues.
