Hello Cruisers

My husband and I are happy to join the cruisers forum. We mostly sail our 38 Ericson on the East Coast with our dachshund; Shelby. Our home port is Annapolis, MD.
We are headed to Florida over the next couple of months. We will be in the "dismal swamp" this next weekend and hope to get to St. Augustine by Christmas.
Any suggestions on traveling through the swamp or on down the coast would be great!!
Look forward to hearing from fellow cruisers.

Re: Hello Cruisers

Go thru the northern lock (say hello the Rob the Conchblower) early so you can transit the entire swamp canal in one day, then stop at the Elizabeth City public dock. EC has free 48 hours dockage- no electric or water- and the Rose Buddies are a great bunch of folks if they are there.
