Hello All! New to the Forum

I have been visiting the forum for a while reading in earnest about cruising. I see that most folks here are sailors. I am not. I do have an affinity for power boats. i.e. trawlers. Is there room here for a small discussion on how feasible it would be to cruise from San Diego to Porta Villarta and mostly live on the hook once I get there? What about visas and entry rules? I hope this is not too simplistic of a question, but, you gotta start somewhere.

Thanks for the help!!

noonsite for the rules and entry stuff.
anything is possible-- whether is plausable or affordable, is another story. anchorages are the best thing i ever knew besides my feline critter.....
might wanna try baja haha as a means for travel with companionship not on board with ye in late october. downwind marine hs a really good cruiser guide to this trip whether or not ye go haha ..... many hidey holes for anchoring and fuel on route ..... have fun. goodluck.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. This is not exclusively for sailing vessels. There are many powerboating enthusiasts here too.
kind regards,
