Hello!

Hi. Just saying my first hello to you all.

My husband and I are upgrading from our 22ft racing cruiser to a 43ft sailboat to be able to spend far more time enjoying life on a boat! Looking forward to sharing info and getting advice from you all - we are relatively knew to the world of sailing and we are taking a wonderful plunge!! UK first then who knows where - a gift we want to give our little boy in his early years - get him into it from a young age and all that!!

All on a lovely learning curve this end!

Hey there, CC!

Welcome aboard!

More specifics, please. What sort of 43ft-sailboat? Are there pictures? If so, please post.

Re: Hello!

Welcome aboard Caroline! As a dad with 2 kids who really enjoy sailing and visiting the local islands, I say beware! If you ever mention thinking of selling your boat in the distant future, your kids will mutiny! My daughter has insisted we never sell our little boat and she wants to inherit it!
But seriously, as I am sure you know, you are in for a lot of fun.

Re: Hello!

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
