Hello

Wanted to introduce myself, my name is Kelly and we own an old Senior 31. We are learning as we go along and are in need of some pointers at the moment. We are slowly doing her up after she was sat for years as a static floating caravan on a tiny weed filled river, never being started or moved. She is now moored on the river Witham after we got her running to bring her home. One of her outlegs is in need of fixing or replacing, a replacement should be on its way in the next couple of weeks if all goes to plan. Then the plan is to lift her and sort her out.

Our main issue to get to grips with is our boat has 2 Perkins 4.108 engines, both raw water cooled. We are trying to find a way to put in a calorifier for hot water, however, so far we are stumped as to how to go about it. It is driving us crazy as we figured it would be fairly simple to do. Looking at the 4.107 in our previous boat which has a header tank with feed off it for the calorifier it seemed a fairly easy addition to the 4.108. For some reason we just cant seem to get our heads around how to actually go about it. Hopefully being a part of this site we will soon have everything in hand 😊

Re: Hello

Welcome aboard Kelly! I'm sure there are a lot of folks here familiar with the 4108. I am not, but you can also try the search function here to find threads related to 4108s. Good luck!
