Hello

I'm here because I want to learn as much as I can about sailing and cruising before my retirement in 9 years. I hope to own a 40' or so sailboat and be able to cruise to the Bahama's or just hang out in different ports. So far I've read a lot of posts and everyone seems very nice and helpful so I finally decided to join. Plus I love meeting new people who can accept my unique sense of humor.

Anyway, prior military, U.S. Army grunt, current law enforcement(field/swat). Love the water and fishing. Been around boats most of my life. Current owner of a kayak, canoe, and a great Bass Raider 10E with a 40lb thrust trolling motor. I know, most of your dinghy's are bigger than that but it's a start for me. Pics of the boats coming soon. Anything else anyone wants to know, just ask...

Thanks

ColtRocker

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Whatever gets you out on the water is what counts.

Hey, I'm heading to MD this weekend for a gymnastics competition in Gaithersburg. Is there anything near there that sells trailerable sailboats? I may get a chance to scout about..
