Barb--Bring your Pearson Electra down to the South West Coast of Florida, south of Tampa (Sarasota-Bradenton). She'd be a perfect boat for the shallow rivers and bays and you'd have little difficulty scoring a ride on a bigger boat when you want one.

Welcome. Beautiful boat, dig the color scheme and the cool cushions.

Just my two cents. It is getting late to head South unless you have lots of warm clothes. I would bet you could cross Florida using the Okeechobee Waterway. Good luck what ever you do.

In Ft Lauderdale is a group called South Fla single sailors -- look them up on line and contact them - nice folks and perhaps can give you a thought or two.
use to belong before I took off.
